After the jw library app was updated earlier this week, I have been unable to copy a scripture link from a jw Library app publication (eg this week’s watchtower study) and then open the scripture in Equipd. This seemed to work flawlessly before the jw app was updated.

Has anyone noticed this issue and found a workaround?

Hi @Eva i have noticed this. The issue is that JW Library has been changed so that long pressing on a scripture link no longer allows you to copy the link. I have not found a workaround yet myself.

I moved this out of “Bug Reports” as it is not an issue with the Equipd Bible app but rather with JW Library.

Thanks for letting me know. Hopefully there will be a JW library update again soon.

After a jw library update this issue remains.

Just wondering if anyone has found a work around yet?

Actually I did come up with a workaround. Because the Bible app will detect scriptures inside a block of text, you can select a block of text in JW Library that includes the scripture you want, copy it, and then switch to the Equipd Bible app. It should detect the scripture included in the text.

Please see this screenshots for an example of how the Bible app has looked up Luke 11 verses 5-9 and 13...

When I try the above, I get the message “No scriptures were located on the clipboard”

    So you have to:

    1. Select the block of text that includes the scripture
    2. Press the Copy button in JW Library
    3. Switch to Equipd Bible
    4. Press the detect scripture button.

it should work fine. it is not new functionality.

It seems deleting the Equipd app and reinstalling has corrected my problem

Just another question, did you add the study notes yourself and is there a way to automatically download them into Equipd?

Yes I added them myself. No there is no automated way as this would breach the terms of use on JW.org
