Done - 2.0 Support iOS 9's split screen

    Yes, I was brave (or silly) enough to update my iPad to iOS 9. The split screen feature is very handy. It would be great to be able to load Equipd along side of iBooks - with the current study article open. Or even Equipd and Notes.

    At the moment I can run Equipd and have Notes as a "pull-over," or whatever that is called, but can't have them running side-by-side.

    Since I'm running a Beta of iOS 9, I'd be happy to Beta test any new features in Equipd before the official release of iOS 9.

    Do you own an iPad Air 2?
    If not, the reason why you cannot use these apps side by side, is because of that. Only iPad Air 2 is compitable with side by side apps. Other ipads only support slide over, which isn't actualy multitasking.

    Yep, I have an iPad Air 2. :)

    Apps don't automatically support split screen, even on an Air 2, they need additional code to handle the resizing. At the moment it seems that only the default Apple apps support it.

    EDIT: Only some default apps support it.

    In that case, the app probably needs adoption of Split View. :)

    This is an absolutly great idea. Just swipe to open a scripture is genious!
    Please can you make this for all ipads?!

    SlideView for Equipd Bible would look like this:

    Absolutely great, when studying in another App or making Notes while listening to a talk. Just Slide to open the bible find the scripture superfast. Also great: send the sripture with just one click to the clipboard an paste in my notes with another click: Everything without leaving my notes!

    @Baerwurzl yes I have seen this post and I plan to support the standard iOS 9 Split Screen functionality. This does not alter the design of the app - it works using Apple's new iOS 9 standards that allow 2 apps to sit side-by-side on the newer iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4 and the iPad Pro.

    To clarify for everyone, yes implementing the standard Split Screen behaviour is of course planned, but there are a few challenges that need to be overcome first inside the the layout of the Equipd Bible app.

    If the user has the full-screen picker enabled then it will be resized to a smaller picker. The Bible Picker will show in all cases where the app is visible in a column that is wide enough. It is completely hidden if the app is showing in the smallest right column where there is not enough room to display it.
