Equipd Bible is the best application to find verse and compare versions, take notes, etc.
But I would find it logical and convenient to have in the same menu of url, markdown and email, to have the opportunity to open the verse in another application or website. Like it possible with the App ReadingPlan or between Equipd and Equipd Bible. This is convenient for versions of the Bible that is impossible to integrate to Equipd Bible (copyright and usage conditions). Convenient to study the Bible with someone who speaks another language. Etc.

    1) Of Course JW Library for Kingdom Interlinear and Byington.
2 ) Bible App (YourVersion) or site (bible.com) has a phenomenal amount of versions and languages. For example, ReadingPlan open the chapter in the version already selected in the app Bible.
    3 ) Bible.is (www.bible.is) like Bible App (YourVersion).

Just a note that this is "kind of" possible already using the Web Search feature. Go into Admin (top/left) > Settings > Web Search.

In the URL you can use the following placeholders:

    %s = full scripture reference (e.g. 2 Timothy 3:16)
    %q = full scripture reference (e.g. 2 Timothy 3:16)
    %b = book number (e.g. Matthew = 40)
    %c = chapter number
    %v = verse or verses (eg 1 or 1-10)

If the Web Search is enabled then you will see buttons and options appear throughout the interface. Click the Web Search icon (the globe) and it will open Safari and pass in the specific URL and placeholder data.

So this might help in the meantime. One day I will flesh this feature out further to support multiple websites and apps that you could open the scripture in, which is what this ticket is all about I am guessing.

Thank for the information and placeholders

    Some examples that work
Dont work for example for Revelation, it is Apocalypse in others Versions. Or Jude 1:1 versus Jude 1.

WOL - to search in the library and not in the NWT (by default in French)
    https://wol.jw.org/fr/wol/s/r30/lp-f?q=%q

Bible Gateway (with one or 2 versions in parallel, version=X;Y) site in English or in Spanish. Click the Web Search icon (the globe) in a version in English or Spanish.
    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=%q&version=NRT;NEG1979

    ESV bible
    http://www.esvbible.org/?q=%q

    Bible App (Your Version)
Go in the App Store and add the Bible by Life.Church.
Click the Web Search icon (the globe) on a version in Equipd with the same language that the version selected on the website Bible.com or the same language of the App! If you have the App, the link can go dirrecly in the App Bible! or your need to click in Safari, Open in the App Bible.
    https://www.bible.com/search/bible?q=%s

I think it would be good to be able to choose an link for each imported bible. and by default, the link to the WOL in the language of each Bible?

I can create another placeholder for the language that you can pass into the URL setting. This would be populated by the language used by the Bible you are using etc.

I am not sure that will help you much on WOL however because of the complicated URL structure it uses. If I enable a URL setting per Bible it could work.

Just to be totally clear I will not be building any mechanisms especially for WOL. The Equipd Bible is a generic Bible tool. Sure it supports the NWT EPUB files, but unlike the older Equipd app, the Equipd Bible app is trying to be more generic as an EPUB reader. My approach is to provide generic ways to tackle problems. Then the user can hook into WOL or whatever website they want to.

Hope that makes sense. It is semantics really, but I just wanted to clarify my approach here.

Hmm. Is that with spaces or without? "2 Timothy"? What about "Song of Solomon"?

The problem we will have with some of these sites is that they do not all adhere to the same standards when it comes to book names or abbreviations...

I found links in the search mode for Bible Hub. So not need a placeholder with the full name. (2 Timothy=2_timothy, Song of Solomon=songs)

Idea: set a default link from a link put inside "content.opf" of each EPUB. With : <relation> </relation> An identifier of an auxiliary resource and its relationship to the publication.

Matt, is there a way that we could link from a note in a verse or a verse to MS OneNote? It is a great app/program to keep notes, pictures, and documents in. I know I would have to generate the link on my desktop and then copy it into the Equipd Bible somehow. It allows links to paragraphs (pictures), pages, sections, or notebooks.

    Thanks

I am hoping to support links in notes to external apps and websites very soon. However it will not help with OneNote sorry. The reason is that MS OneNote does not have a URL Scheme that supports such behaviour. Quite a few users are requesting this feature from MS but not news yet.

    Hy there

can somebody help me to create a link for the websearch for this website: http://www.bibleserver.com/start and the "Gute Nachricht Bibel"?

the url for websearch is: http://www.bibleserver.com/text/GNB/ and after this there should be the scripture. so i think, that http://www.bibleserver.com/text/GNB/%q is the correct url, but it equipd doenst open it!
It openes when i write it with a question mark in it: http://www.bibleserver.com/text/GNB/?%q, but the link doenst work and after deleting the question mark in the browser/link its correct.

so i think: http://www.bibleserver.com/text/GNB/%q should be right, but equipd doesnt open it. What am i doing wrong?

Why doesnt Equipd open this url?
    http://www.bibleserver.com/text/GNB/%q

it seems that Equipd only accept urls with an question mark in it, more accurate in front or anywhere before the placeholder. Is this a bug?
bibleserver doesnt need a question mark and i cant build in a question mark in this url :-(
i just want to get the url above to work.

    Can you help Matt?

Curious, I try and Equipd dislike this url. Same for me, Equipd donesnt open safari.
(I think "de." or "en." work a little better than "www.", especially if it will be possible to associate a link to each Bible.)
