i just noticed the function to read the clipboard. Sadly the Equipd Bible doesn't understand the JW Library urls .... if i tap long on a scripture link in JW Library and the link "jwpub://b/NWT/18:26:7-18:26:7" is copied to the clipboard. is it possible that Equipd will learn to understand this link too?
I will definitely consider this if the interest is there from enough users. Users can click the "Like" button on the first post to indicate interest.
Does JW Library expose it's URL scheme to third-party apps? I've tried to include the URL's into some of my notes (using markdown) and nothing happens. Edit: Never mind. I just realised this is relating to Equipd decoding the URL to display the scripture - in Equipd, not JW Library. :/
I totally understand what @Baerwurzl is trying to do. To clarify - as far as I am aware the JW Library does not have an official URL Scheme. Sure they have internal urls for linking between content from inside the app, but it is not accessible to users or 3rd party apps from outside the app. @Gabriel My suggestion is to take your feature request off into a new thread so as to keep this thread "on-topic".
I can say : I had understood it! And I also understand that it would have surprised me that the application JW Library allow another application "to going in". I did a new thread for my feature request. Thank you!
I have completed this task. Equipd can now recognise JW Library scripture links. 1. In JW Library just tap + hold on a scripture reference. 2. In the popup choose "Copy". 2. Switch back to Equipd Bible. If you have the "Detect Scriptures in Clipboard" setting enabled (on by default) then the app will automatically detect and lookup the scripture. It even supports scriptures that span chapters. See the screenshots below for example:
Convenient for those who do not use the old good Equipd! And it will be useful if one day the older Equipd app no longer works!
