We quite often include scripture references in our notes. The feature adds support for automatically detecting scriptures that meet a specific format, and making these links clickable so that you can easily look up the scripture. This will make it extremely easy to cross-link between scriptures. Similar to the newly supported website links in notes, the scripture links will only be clickable in the Notes Side Panel and Notes Library accessible from the top toolbar. The are not clickable inside the notes editor window. Note the following link requirements: Scriptures must be inside round brackets ( and ) Multiple scriptures can be defined inside a single set of brackets separated by a semi-colon ";" The book name must always be defined The following notes with scripture links are valid: Code: God's name is Jehovah (Ps 83:18). We should use it. Code: The Bible is God's Word (2 Tim 3:16,17). Read it daily. Code: Here are multiple scriptures (Psalm 83:18; 2 Tim 3:16; Matt 24:14). The following note contains an invalid link: Code: The last scripture link won't work (Matt 6:9,10; 24:14). The problem is that "24:14" must have the book name defined, even though it is the same book as the previous scripture. So it should become (Matt 6:9,10; Matt 24:14). Sample Screenshots A note with multiple scriptures defined in round brackets Notice the blue links in the note in the Side Column The scripture popup shows when clicking the first link "Duet. 6:6,7"
Hello Matt, in the screenshots you're working in the Notes window. Your created links are represented by the blue print as linked. When I enter a link to jw.org or a link to a passage from the Bible, this text only stay - they are not converted into links.
Hy Baerwurzl, thank you for your quick response. "The links are not (yet) clickable in the notes window" and The links only work from the Notes Side Panel or from central library of Notes accessible from the toolbar. The links do not work from inside the actual Notes which is currently just a textarea ready to edit text. I had read and understood. But: "the scripture links will only be clickable in the Notes Side Panel and Notes Library accessible from the top toolbar" ... that does not work . In the Notes SidePanel the links are not clickable ; they continue as normal text . This is regardless of whether there are internal or external links.
Hi @Gerd Schmitt. Please look at the title of this thread. It says "Coming Soon". i.e. this is not a feature you have access to yet - it is coming in the next version. @Baerwurzl is a beta tester, so he is already testing this feature which is where some of this confusion is coming from. I guess it is something to keep in mind @Baerwurzl when making comments
Thank you and Sorry for my blindness. @Bearwurzl I have the same problem by SoftMaker. There I´m Volunteer and I´m testing the new Version for the future and often I can not understand because I am already working with a version that has not the problem the problem described . OK , then let's see what 's in the next version of everything.
